Oh how we LOVE Village Baker

I'm sure many of you remember the good ole days of Village Baker. Brad worked here all through college and even an entire year after he had finished college :) Well he has recently started cleaning the ovens at Village Baker. It is an awesome little gig. He only has to do it once every two weeks. Cooper and I can even join him while he does it. And he brings home all kinds of yummy treats for us! It usually ends up being done late on a Saturday night because he has to wait until the bakery is closed before he can start cleaning the ovens. I am so lucky that Brad is such a hard worker and willing to do all that he does for me and Cooper so that I can stay home and raise our little guy.

Here is Brad cleaning the oven (he has no idea I was taking pictures)
P.S. The way his shirt falls makes him look like he has a belly, but really there isn't one there. He has been working out really hard and is looking amazing. I wish I had the same dedication to working out....but I don't :(

The Lion King

Back in May Brad surprised me with tickets to see The Lion King for my graduation present. I saw the show in Chicago when I was 15 and I have always remembered it being amazing. Ever since I found out we were going I have been trying to explain how awesome the show is to Brad. But I definitely couldn't do it justice. We both LOVED the show! We had great seats on the front row of the mezzanine. The funniest part were the 2 Capital Theatre worker dudes that were sitting by the doors next to us. They acted out the ENTIRE show to each other. It was hilarious!

It was nice getting out and spending some time with just the two of us. My mom watched Cooper for us. I was dying to get back to my little monkey. I hadn't ever spent that long away from him and I really missed him. I can't imagine having to leave him every day for longer than the 5 hours that my mom had him. I am soooo grateful that I am able to spend all day everyday with my baby. Being his mom is the only job that I want!

Thanks honey for taking me to see Lion King. I Love You!!!

2 Month Check-up

Well today Cooper went in for his 2 month check-up. I had very mixed emotions about going to this appointment. I was dying to see how much my little monkey had grown but I was DREADING seeing him get his shots. He still isn't looking real chunky so I was worried he hadn't gained that much. I am a worry mom for sure! Brad gets frustrated with me I think because I worry about every little thing. But I love my little man and want everything to be perfect! But he is now to 11 pounds and 23 inches long. He has gained 2 pounds since his 2 week check-up. It's amazing how much bigger he looks from when he was born at 8 lbs. 7 oz to now 11 pounds. You don't realize how much a little less than 3 pounds really is until you see the difference in your baby. It is crazy! Cooper is looking perfectly healthy and is growing great. He is cooing, smiling, playing and sucking on his hands, follows you with his eyes, responds to noises, is able to hold his head up, and doing everything that a 2 month old should be doing. Once we heard how he is growing great and looks perfectly healthy came shot time :( I was so glad that Brad was able to come with me. I love that he has a job that he can leave and come to important things like this and be my moral support when I want to die because my baby is in so much pain. Cooper had to get 3 shots and some liquid stuff in his mouth. He wasn't happy with the shots but surprisingly calmed down almost instantly when I picked him up. I was worried he was going to scream the entire way home, but much to my surprise he slept the whole car ride. I am so blessed to have such a healthy and happy baby. I am loving every minute that I get to spend with him. I can't believe it has already been 2 months. Time goes by WAY too fast these days. My baby is getting so big and he is just going to keep getting bigger.

Coop's New Tricks

Recently Cooper has found his hand. We just love watching him suck on those little hands. He finds them while he's sleeping, when he's waking up, and when he is just hanging out. He gets sucking so hard on them that you can hear it. He has also started talking to us. There is nothing better than hearing your little guy coo and tell you his stories. This video caught a little of both, Coop sucking on his hands and talking. We honestly can't get enough of him!!!

Recents of Coop

Coop has grown so much since he was born. So I wanted to post some recent pictures of him. He still isn't real chubby. He has got the cutest little body, big cheeks, and a double chin that he can thank his mom for (I'm so sorry little man!) His 2 month check up is next week and I am so excited to see how much he really has grown. I love how happy of a baby he is. He really only cries when he's tired. He never even really cries when he's hungry. The one thing that Cooper is AMAZING at is spitting up. He always happens to wait until you have just put his new outfit on or when you are in a spot that is just going to make it fun cleaning up or all over mom. Luckily Indiana is pretty good at helping me clean it up. The only thing that makes the spitting up bearable is that a lot of times after he spits up he looks at you with this big grin. His new thing that he has started doing is blowing spit bubbles. I know I have seen so many babies do all these little things, but it is SO different and way more exciting when it is your own baby. They seem like the biggest milestones. So far we have covered smiling and spit bubbles. I am very excited to see what comes next. But at the same time I want Cooper to stay my little baby forever!!!

This is what Indiana does now most of the day
One example of the things Cooper likes to spit up on (yes it was my fault that Brad's wallet was on the couch). Sorry for the gross visual.
Brad catching the aftermath of Cooper spitting up all down my shirt! And his tiny butt is quite cute if I might add :)
Oh my heck I can't handle this face! He loves the bath!
I had to show his cute little body!
Hanging out with daddy
Many of you might know how Indiana does this sucking thing with his stuffed animals. It is hilarious it's like his little binky. Well look like Coop is going to be the same way with his stuff animals. Here is Buddy sucking on his giraffe
Don't you just want to squeeze those cheeks
Hanging out on the couch......Indie gets so curious
He gets these cute little wrinkles on his forehead. My mom said I had the same ones when I was little.
Catching a little smile. I can't seem to get a good picture of one. But I will keep trying!
He sleeps like daddy with one leg out of the covers
And when his arms are free he sleeps like mom with his hands above his head
Aren't they cute. He looks just like his daddy!
