Bell Canyon

Over Labor Day weekend a couple in our ward (The Kingstons) invited us to go hiking with them. We have tried multiple times to take Cooper hiking and something has always happened and we haven't been able to. I was so excited to finally get to use our hiking backpack. The Kingston's chose to hike Bell Canyon. It is at the bottom of Little Cottonwood Canyon. We hadn't hiked it before and either had they. Well it wasn't the best hike for carrying babies. Brad had Cooper on his back, our friend Russ had a backpack on his back and then his wife Sandy was carrying their baby Tyson. I was the only one not carrying anything but my water bottle and I was dying. The hike started out with a huge incline of rocks that you have to climb. They have it formed kind of like stairs but each one was probably as tall as my leg. It was a workout. We finally made it to the lake. The hike keeps on going to waterfalls but we were not going to attempt that with the babies. Cooper loved the water at the lake. As you can see he got his pants wet (daddy was playing with him) so we took them off to lay out so they could dry. I didn't want him sitting in wet pants on the way down. That would not have been comfy. We had his pool/hiking shoes on so I didn't care if he got them dirty or wet. He loved hiking. He was awesome in the backpack and just relaxed and enjoyed the ride. We will definitely be getting some more use out of the hiking backpack.

My little orphan pantless hiking baby

The lake was really gorgeous

Cooper found this stick and was having so much fun splashing with it

We had a good time playing around at the lake. Cooper LOVED the water. It was freezing but he didn't care. He would walk in it and stomp his feet and splash and giggle. It was so fun to watch him explore and love everything about it.

After the hike we went to dinner. We were starving! We went to this little pizza place....I don't remember what it was called :)

Coop walking around outside....He had just started walking so was loving exploring anything and everything!!!

After dinner we headed home. The babies were so worn out and tired. It was such a fun little adventure. I can't wait to do it again!
